YPO: Masterclass Unconscious Bias

Bij Young Professionals ORAM starten we elk jaar met een masterclass over persoonlijke ontwikkeling. Dit keer over iets wat we allemaal doen, vaak zonder het door te hebben: Unconscious Bias.
We nemen dagelijks razendsnel beslissingen. Over mensen, situaties en samenwerking. Dat gebeurt op basis van ervaringen, patronen en onbewuste voorkeuren. Dit noemen we unconscious bias – een menselijk mechanisme dat ons helpt snel te handelen, maar dat ook kan zorgen voor blinde vlekken en vooroordelen.
In deze interactieve masterclass onderzoek je hoe unconscious bias bij jou werkt en wat dat betekent in je werk en in de keuzes die je maakt. Niet door theorie te stapelen, maar door te ervaren, te oefenen en samen te reflecteren. Je wordt uitgedaagd om je eigen aannames te herkennen en te testen, en om bewuster om te gaan met perspectieven die afwijken van die van jezelf.
Na afloop is er ruimte om tijdens een informele netwerkborrel verder te praten en te connecten.

At Young Professionals ORAM, we start every year with a masterclass focused on personal development. This time, we explore something we all do – often without realizing it: Unconscious Bias.
Every day, we make quick decisions about people, situations and collaboration. These decisions are shaped by past experiences, patterns and unconscious preferences. This is what we call unconscious bias – a natural human mechanism that helps us act fast, but can also lead to blind spots and stereotypes.
In this interactive masterclass, you will explore how unconscious bias shows up in your own behaviour and what it means for your work and decision-making. Rather than focusing on theory, the session is built around experience, practice and reflection. You will be challenged to recognize your own assumptions, test them and become more aware of different perspectives.
