Set against the dynamic backdrop of the port of Amsterdam, the conversations focused on one central idea: change is not something distant. It starts with everyday actions. From who we invite into meetings to how we encourage others to contribute, participants explored the small but powerful choices that shape inclusive and forward-thinking workplaces.

A key question guided the discussions:
What will you do differently in the office tomorrow?

The responses highlighted practical, actionable steps. Participants emphasized the importance of speaking up, putting themselves forward even without meeting every requirement, and recognizing that imposter syndrome often signals growth rather than inadequacy. They also stressed being mindful about feedback, understanding that some advice empowers, while other advice can unintentionally limit potential.

Another recurring theme was the responsibility to actively create space for others. This includes inviting quieter voices into conversations, giving recognition where it is due, and challenging traditional or narrow views of leadership. Importantly, attendees agreed that advancing inclusion should not remain solely a women’s conversation. Real progress depends on collaboration. When both men and women actively support each other and contribute to a more balanced and inclusive industry.

The event also underscored a broader shift: organizations that integrate diversity into decision-making processes. Not as a side topic, but as a core strength.
